Auckland, New Zealand (May 12, 2022) – Nissan’s class-leading SUV gains more safety and convenience features and further engineering refinements for MY22, ensuring the Qashqai remains the family friendly champion of its segment.
“This new model delivers more of everything Kiwi drivers love about the Qashqai, with more power, more safety equipment, and more technology,” says Ben Hamilton, Managing Director Nissan New Zealand.
Power from the 1.3-litre turbocharged engine rises by 4kW, with torque boosted by 50Nm — with overall outputs now an engaging 110kW and 250Nm — while a newly developed X-Tronic auto transmission delivers seamless gear changes and boosts economy.
Towing capacity has also increased by 300kg, to 1500kg braked.
A series of key technology updates include the introduction of a new 12.3-inch high-definition infotainment system plus Wireless Apple CarPlay, offered on the ST+ model and above.
In addition to the Qashqai “hero” colour of Magnetic Blue, customers can choose from five eye-catching, two-tone paint schemes including Fuji Sunset Red, Ceramic Gray and Ivory Pearl, all matched to a Pearl Black roof.
